A massager in your car. You know you want it.

But there's an alternative (although it might not be as pleasant): the USB/In-Car Massager. It draws power from the cigarette socket and is fully controlled with the included remote. The massager offers 4 modes: kneading, tapping, shiatsu and rolling, and three rhythms and speeds: high, medium and low, so anyone should be able to find an appropriate combination to suit him/herself.
And, as a bonus, when you're done with driving you can just take it upstairs, plug it into your USB and enjoy a nice massage while clicking away at your computer.

Light-up coin for collectors and Corvette fans
Published by AutoMotoGadgets, on Jul 29 2008, in the categories: Auto, Car, Others

This officially-licensed 71 mg .925 silver clad coin is a non-circulating legal tender of the Republic of Palau (which is known for many other collector coins). But the most interesting (kitschy?) part are the lights: if you push the Corvette logo on the back of the coins, the headlights of the car light up.
Cool or not? You decide.

The A-Team R/C GMC van is a blast from the (TV) past
Published by AutoMotoGadgets, on Jul 24 2008, in the categories: Auto, Car, Toys

The A Team R/C Van features the usual functions (forward, reverse, left, right, stop) plus a turbo boost for that extra edge when trying to get rid of those pesky cops or villains. The headlights light up and, as you can see, it's custom painted exactly like the van in the series.
(No, it doesn't come with any of the women in the show, unfortunately. You'll have to take care of that part if you fancy yourself as Face.)
SmartMirror is a rear view mirror and a GPS all in one
Published by AutoMotoGadgets, on Jul 23 2008, in the categories: Auto, Car, GPS Devices

The UK already had it, and now the United States does too: DS-400GB, now renamed to SmartMirror, a rearview mirror with integrated GPS navigation.
The SmartMirror lets you replace your old rearview mirror instead of finding a new spot for a separate GPS unit, which means it will be easier to watch your route and the cars behind you at the same time.
It has a 64 MB internal memory plus a 2 GB SD card for storing maps and pictures, and is built on Windows CE .NET 4.2. It also features an integrates speaker and several built-in Bluetooth functions, such as Bluetooth hands-free phone, incoming caller ID display on screen and manual/auto call answering. The software it used is Navigon Mobile Navigator 6.5 and, if you add the FreshMaps accesory, you get up to 12 map updates.
It's quite pricey at $799, and will be available August 1st.

Remote controlled cars are all over the place... but a remote controlled tyre? Is that even possible?Indeed it is, and it's called the TOSY R-Tyre. It can go forward and backward and turn left and right and it can move on many types of terrain. There's not much info available on how it works, but we go know red and blue LEDs indicate the movement direction and that it recharges wirelessly.

This seven-pocket tote can be hung behind the front seat headrest and can hold items from CDs and DVDs to chocolate bars, making sure neither get sat or stepped on. It's also a good spot for your mobile phone - you might not hear it because of the road noise, but if it's right in front of you and it lights up, it's difficult to miss. The strap can be used to attach it to the headrest, but also as a shoulder strap for easy transport to and from the car.
Check-A-Spare so you don’t end up stranded in the middle of nowhere
Published by AutoMotoGadgets, on Jul 17 2008, in the categories: Accesories, Auto, Car

The Check-A-Spare is a tool for the lazy: you attach it to your spare tire, extending the valve, and you check the pressure without removing the tire. You can attach any regular valve cap to the end of the hose, and if your spare is low you just connect the air hose to the Check-A-Spare valve.
All you need to worry about is actually remembering to do this...

Anti-glare LED visor helps you deal with bright incoming lights
Published by AutoMotoGadgets, on Jul 16 2008, in the categories: Accesories, Auto, Car
(the link is a Google translate of the original German website).

The LED panel attaches to your sun visor and softly illuminates the inside of the car at night, thus causing your eyes to stay adapted to light. Your pupils will shrink slightly, so you'll have less of a problem with bright incoming lights. The brightness can be manually adjusted until you are comfortable enough or you can just use a set of ambient light sensors.
