The RS models were developed by quattro GmbH and usually display the dynamic spearhead of Audi`S model range. The RS5 is the latest concept in a tradition settled 15 years ago with RS2 Avant ,developing a superior handling in the middle-size class. RS5  is a classically elegant coupe with an amazingly powerful engine, an athletic and strong identity underlined by new clear-cut accents.



Even though the high-revving 4.2 liter V8 pumps out a hefty 331kw(450 HP), the fuel is being used with extreme efficiency, and like all high-performance models from Audi, RS5 Coupe delivers its power to the road through all four wheels. This concept marks a new evolutionary stage of quattro permanent all-wheel drive, used for the first time in the RS5 project.

The engine is very closed to the V10, powering the R8 high-performance sports car. The 4.2 FSI delivers 331 kw(450 hp) at 8,250 rpm with the peak-torque  at 430 Nm (317, 15 lb-ft), available between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm. The V8 catapults the two-door model from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds on its way to a top speeds of 250 km/h (155.34 mph). The good news is that Audi can increase the top speed by request to 280km/h (173.98 mph). The engine consumes about 10.8 liters of fuel per 100 km  (21.78 US mpg) on average, far less than Audi`s RS5 Coupe key competitors.

The model`s elegant figure is the result of combined technologies from Audi modular efficiency platform, also including a recuperation system high-efficiency and a long top gear. The good fuel economy is also provided by the standard seven-speed S-tronic. At the present moment, Audi is in a new development stage of the center differential, called the crown-gear center differential and it works together with the  new torque vectoring system, acting on all four wheel. The advantage of this new technology can be observed on the road, if the inside wheel is reduced too much at high speeds the wheel is braked slightly before slipping. Audi can also offer the sport differential option, actively distributing the power between the rear wheels. Compared to the Audi A5, the chassis of the new concept is tautly tuned, lowering the car`s body with 20 mm.

The high-performance  Audi RS5 Coupe comes with standard 19-inch alloy wheels with 265/35 series tires. The 20-inch wheels with 275/30 series tires option is also available. Audi also offers a new damping technology with its purely mechanical DRC Dynamic Ride Control. Large ventilated discs are being internally used by the brake system while the steel friction rings are perforated and connected to the aluminum brake caps via pins. Audi RS5 Coupe displays a very dynamic and elegant interior, as an extension of the vehicle`s exterior. The car is equipped with standard sport seats with integrated headrests, with adjustable power and covered in a combination of leather and Alcantara. Alternatives are also available, including bucket seats with folding backrests or climate-controlled comfort seats. The instruments include black dials and white markings with special scalling and the driver`s color-displayed information system includes a lap timer and an oil temperature gauge. The interior can be characterized as a study in black, with carbon inlays and a fascia framing instrument cluster with a piano finish. The door sill trims are aluminum inserted, accentuated with RS5 badges. Numerous other exclusive optional features are also available for the interior while a carbon design package is available for the engine compartment, including various body styling packages. High-performance assistance and communication systems come to round-out the optional extras program. Prices will start at 77, 700 euros.
