What are the frequencies / bands radar? X, K, Ka, Ka narrow range and is frequently used encodings different police radar. Same frequencies are used single all over the world and usage is the same. Radar waves are moving in a straight line and this is taken into account the location of the device in the car.
<-336×280 Large Rectangle – center->
What works, Laser-radar (LIDAR)?  The laser operates in principle the same way that the radar does but for distances less than (below 150m). Greatest chance of being warned in time, is when the police try to register the car in front of you if you are already warned when you got your car laser detector, have very short time to react once the device in your car . warns.

What is photo radar? It installed an automatic device which will measures the speed street, take a picture no. license plate on your car and then they will send a fine home. Whatever the device manufacturer that is above, he knew that you can have a radar detector. Pt. that have made photo-radar to work on very small distances, knowing that such radar detector and then you will have no time to react (30-45m) or about 1.5 seconds to 60Km / H. Your detector and you can refer your car in front passes by a photo-radar.

Why are issued warnings even if it is not any police car in the visible? A radar detector is basically a microwave receiver. In today’s modern world there are many sources of microwaves. Automatic systems for opening the doors of supermarkets, various alarm systems, towers for antennas. Cell phones can be detected and interpreted falsely as issued by the police car. You can eliminate most of them passing on the workings CITY (city) on the highway. A detector that has referred the matter any false signal certainly is damaged.

Why is the VG2 is undetectable – All radar detectors emit a low level signal that can be intercepted by a detector VG2. Basically a VG2 radar detector is a detector and is used by police officers to. detect cars that have installed radar detectors (where their use is not permitted). A radar detector that is undetectable VG2 has a special circuit or change the frequency detector radar detector or temporarily stop while it is scanned by a detector VG2.

What is alert VG2 and why it’s important to have one? Police may have VG2 detectors that can detect a radar detector in your car. Option VG2, your detector warns you that a cop is nearby with a radar detector. So you need another way to be informed that nearby there is a police officer using VG2 detector. If you are near (to a length of 4 cars) one other car with a trap will receive a false alarm VG2. The only situation when they receive false alarms VG2!

Positioning the speakers – I have seen many, many audio installations that have invested a lot of money but were far below results possibilities purchased equipment. To get the most out of your system and even to get what you want without having to buy expensive equipment you should give lots and lots of attention to positioning the speakers-with particular attention to some basic rules.
<-336×280 Large Rectangle – center->
First, I learned that experience is best to spend your money on, expensive speakers for the “front” of the car, not the back. Think and you want all the quality and dynamic front, right? How many concerts have you been where you sat with his back to the scene? And more, because they are close, you have the bonus of more volume and less consumption.

The human ear is able to locate the position in space of sound sources, such as a speaker. This is accomplished by a simple calculation of the brain: the time difference between sound reception by one ear and the other. So to get a balanced sound and effective “surround” speakers need to be at equal distance from the ear, that is equidistant.

This is why so many modified cars have speakers, tuned in angle, installed in places around the foot, the best place for their location in front to ensure equi-distance. Speakers factory installed in these places do nothing than to lavish sound to his feet, so to avoid this will require their placement in front but angled so that you direct the sound to the interior compartment.

Where can if desired separated components as mid range sites (circles) and high to be tied with, their fitting remote location will trick the brain and sounds will not be precise and “surround the” affected. The best thing would be to mount a tweeter and a woofer to 6 inches apart, coaxial speakers mounted woofer and tweeter in the middle is the ideal solution.

BAS! Everyone loves bass. Bass is not directed, that you can mount a subwoofer about anywhere and have the same result. In fact why find a particular mounted subwoofer can be placed anywhere: fixed the floor behind the seats, in the trunk behind the rear seat, anywhere and all are heard, what counts is to be positioned head up.

Location of the speakers (top and oriented face to the front doors), a pair of speakers MB Quart 5.25-inch (2-way coaxial) related to a amplifier and a 12-inch subwoofer connected to amplifier sounds simple but will ensure that you wont make a fool out of yourself. The efficiency of a car audio system is the final link on the installation of sound: Price of output – the car speakers. Alpine ensure that the signal emitted by the central unit of the audio system reach the ears of the container intact and undisturbed.

For a car can run, its required that both the electrical system as well as the supply system to work together. Here are some reasons why your car engine does not start.
<-336×280 Large Rectangle – center->
Dead battery
Dead battery is one of the most common reasons why an engine will not start. Check if the battery is in good condition and if the liquid is good.

Failure to starter
Starter mechanism puts in motion the engine pistons. When the starter is a failing, it reduces engine power and it does not start.

Fuel filter stuffed
A stuffy gas filter will not allow fuel to penetrate the combustion chamber and so the engine will not start.

Gasoline pump jammed

Gasoline pump, pumps gasoline from the tank to the combustion chamber, where gas is lit the spark plugs. Without the gasoline pump, the motor will not start.

Ignition system fault

If the ignition system is faulty, the fuel will not burn. The problem can usually be solved by replacing the spark plugs. No ignition, the engine will not start. There is no doubt that cars with manual transmission are very fun to drive. You are in direct control over every aspect of the car

About manual transmission
A multi-speed manual transmission is usually 5, but differs from one machine to another. When changing gears in fact you change the engines power for the forward wheels. Changing speeds and traction depends on the type of gear box, but the principle is the same.

History
All cars up to 1938 had manual a gearbox, that until General Motors released the first automatic gearbox market. Since then most car passenger have a automatic gear box.

How it works
It is better to think of a bicycle with 10 speeds. Although the way of change is completely different, the principle is the same. To change the ratio of power.
In a car, speeds do not change with a chain. Speeds are interconnected. Gears help change the gear. Pressing the clutch disconnects the speed at which you were and helps you connect the next one. Such speeds do not overlap.
Change to a higher speed will reduce the number of revolutions of the engine. Therefore if you want to overcome a car, put the car into a lower speed to catch power.

Types
Most cars have 5-speeds plus the reverse. Older models had 3 or 4 speed shifts and the gear box was either one the wheel or the floor..
Performance cars can have 6 speeds to allow speed to maintain a lower number of turns.

Attention
You must be careful that when you use a car with manual transmission, pushing the clutch. Also you should not take your foot off the clutch immediately because it will reach speeds and will wear out.
It is good to start the car when you hit the clutch, but using the clutch more than is needed, will damage it.

The benefits of Houdini Automotive Escape Tool

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

We’ve already told you three months ago about Houdini’s Escape Tool. Now I found a nice review about it. The gadgeteer tested it and they presented us how to use it correctly.

Julie used a 5 x 5 inch piece of glass and she admitted it wasn’t so sexy as testing the tool in a real vehicle. After that she said:

The Houdini Pro has a window breaking tip just like the non-Pro tool. The only difference is that the Pro tool is easier to handle since it is larger, and you don’t have to remove any parts to use it. To test the window breaker, you place the tip on the glass and push down. The spring loaded tip will depress and then a point inside it will pop out with enough force to shatter the glass. It’s very quick and easy to do. It does not require significant effort. I think even a child could probably do it if instructed properly.

Now, let’s see how the piece of glass looked after Houdini’s Escape Tool did the master job. Completely shattered.

I hope you will all understand the benefits of such a magnificent car gadget. I would like to put it next to the other four gadgets that you need for a safe road trip and about I wrote few days ago.

The Zumba phone – first truly hands-free mobile phone

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

zumba phoneAs you know I am a driver, I own a car and I am totally against even hands-free phone systems. My security when driving is more important than any other device that can disturb me. We live in an age when being on time is more important than our safety. Tell me, how many times were you in a hurry because you’ve been caught in traffic? Now, tell me if you use your phone to apologize for coming late at work … when driving! I bet you do.

I’ve seen people reading books behind the wheel in traffic and girls looking in the mirror to put on make up when driving. Anyway, because I will tell you about the Zumba phone (first truly hands-free mobile phone), it’s your brain that’s distracted when you’re on the phone, not your hands. I sincerely advise you to care about your safety as a driver more than your personal problems.

zumba phone backNow, great news! The Zumba phone offers you the world’s first fully accurate voice recognition system for mobile phones. Now I am tempted to say: “So what? To my mind it’s the same if you use a hands-free plugged into your phone or if you use the Zumba when driving!“, but Zumba has a nice feature that allows you to send text messages using speech alone! While doing the kinky job of sending an SMS using voice recognition, your phone’s data (including your contacts) is stored on a 100% secure website.

Zumba has a nice design and you can speak to your friends while it is tucked away in your jacket’s pocket or in your car’s boot. The secret is an ear hook type device that covers your ear. You can do everything by pressing a single button!

It really sounds revolutionary (and good for us, the drivers) but because the producer is a small company, I might be skeptic about his future.

Protect your hands when driving

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

I’ve met people who had big problems because of cuts. It’s true, they didn’t have problems because of something the steering wheel grip did, but because of something knives or other strange objects did. Just imagine how many bacteria there are on the steering wheel or on the gear shift. You have no idea. The bacteria cause most of these infections.

I won’t start to tell you my medicine theories, but i will tell you how to protect your hands when driving. These particular, fashion and funny gloves are made from 100% polyester with acrylic resin grips. The gloves have been tested for comfort and fade resistance.

gps ferrari edition

If you could think of one word to describe a GPS, what would it be? If I say “Ferrari”, it might not be the right word, and people are bound to say I’m a little bit crazy. I admit one of my dreams is to own a car like this but if you want to buy me a GPS I advise you to chose something else. Not because I don’t like it but because it won’t fit on my car.

The Ferrari Traffic Assist Pro is nice looking (like almost all Ferrari’s products), it has a 4.3″ touchscreen, map data for Europe and United States, Bluetooth handsfree set, telephone and address book, lane info assistant etc.

Now go and buy the adequate car for this gadget! More details here, via.
