Mario Kart Go Racing Slot-racing System
Published by AutoMotoGadgets, on Jan 04 2008, in the categories: Auto, Car, DIY, Toys

Apparently Mario video games weren't addictive enough, so Mario is now a real toy, with a kart of his own, trying to burn the rubber of our floors. The trick is you can play it now with a friend and really, really, through his car off the track.

Look at the images in this post: it really looks like fun, even if you are not 10 years old. I bet that you can have a lot of laughing this Christmas, especially after a beer or two... or more. After all, who is gonna stop you since there is no police on the track? :)
If you've been unimpressed by videogame spin-offs in the past, prepare to be blown away - this isn't some cheap cash-in on the illustrious Mario marque, it's a well built game that's just as thrilling as its pixellated partner in silliness. We guarantee everyone who sees it in action will want a quick spin. You could even buy some garish overalls and adopt an Italian accent. Bellissimo!

Porsche Nvidia SLI Computer Mod
Published by AutoMotoGadgets, on Dec 18 2007, in the categories: Auto, Car, DIY, Fashion, Funny, Gadgets, Tuning

Having a great computer seems to not be enough nowadays. As with cars, you have to have it tuned. It is called modding, but it is almost similar: lights, bodykits (cases) and so on. Well, someone thought of combining the two and made the Porsche Nvidia SLI Mod. See more after the jump.

Featuring an 18″ disc from Porsche Cayenne as a shell and an attached acrylic disc brake strip-sponsor nVidia, the SLI-Machine wheel PC comes with silencer turned liquid cooling iron and decorative chrome entourage. The design may look weird to some, but after considering the unconventional ‘PC mod,’ you’ll surely give a second thought before disposing off your ragged vehicle wheels.

Dashboard Camera for Your Car

This way, you can catch that accident when it happened, or you can record that stupid a$$hole when he cut in front of you. Or that nice lady crossing the street... or whatever. It's as easy as 1,2,3. The camera has a red laser assistant beam that you can use to have a more clear shot at what you are recording, it can be powered by AAA batteries or it can be plugged in the car's cigarette lighter.

Panasonic just announced, though, they will provide an attachable system for any car, at a reasonable price. The system will provide a 320x240 pixels monitor, with an input for the camera and another input for any other video device (you can use it to watch dvd's). When the shift lever moves in reverse, the camera attached may be automatically presented on the monitor.
The system will be available in Japan starting with the 17h of December and you will probably see it in a short time somewhere close to you.

The Santa Claus Car Kit
Published by AutoMotoGadgets, on Dec 11 2007, in the categories: Accesories, Auto, Car, DIY, Funny, Toys

No matter what you do, kids these days will almost sure not believe you Santa is real. Some of the kids will be even better than you at bringing soda next to their hand on the computer.
What if you show them the car Santa uses to come to bring the gifts? For any modern child, it should be clear that Santa uses a car (and what do you say, it's identical to the one the kid's parents have). So, how do you turn your car into Santa's car? By using the reindeer kit. You have a big red nose and a pair of oversized 16" jingle-bell plush antlers to attach to your car, as seen in the image above.
You can find them online for only $15.95.

Geeky Bumper Stickers for the Geek in You
Published by AutoMotoGadgets, on Dec 10 2007, in the categories: Accesories, Auto, Car, DIY, Funny

But, on the other hand, this shouldn't be your choice. I mean, if I had the opportunity of these bumper stickers several years ago, when I paid on the entire car as much as I paid for the paint job on my current car, I would probably have filled the entire car with these stickers. And then wasn't even fashionably to be a geek :D
So, here are some of the Geek Bumper Stickers you can find around the web:

Here are some of them "in action":

How Not to Open an Audi: Unbreakable Windows on an A4 (The Ultimate Gadget)
Published by AutoMotoGadgets, on Dec 07 2007, in the categories: Accesories, Auto, Car, DIY, Funny, Others
The guys in the movie below did it, though. And for 8 minutes they tried to break the window of the car with things varying from a screwdriver, a winch and what not: they even thought they were actors and tried to hit it with the foot or strike it with the fist. None worked. They finally managed to enter in the car. Watch the movie to see what they used to break the window.
Of course, that stone is not really a gadget, but it is Friday and we should have some fun.
Later edit: In the Digg thread to this story (thank you, Diggers, for thinking it's worth digg-ing it), user bloodgc suggested a spark plug as a solution and gave the link to the video below, where a guy uses a spark plug to smash a car window:
Later edit: In the comments to the movie, the guys that were in the movie said that they called the Audi dealer that suggested this solution (breaking the window). They chose the right window because it was the only one that was in stock at the dealer.

BasketBall all the way – Portable B-Ball for kids
Published by AutoMotoGadgets, on Dec 04 2007, in the categories: Accesories, Auto, Car, DIY, Funny, Toys

Or NOT! This is a kid's toy. You have it in your car when you go out with your kids. Still, it is a funny device, which might provide some fun in the first moments, though I consider it preeeetty useless.
And apparently the market thought so, too, since they thought the $500 price tag was too steep. Because the initial website is now gone. Forever. For good. No trace of it. So you can't buy the toy even if you want to.

Visual gear shifter: Indy-Cator
Published by AutoMotoGadgets, on Dec 03 2007, in the categories: Accesories, Auto, Car, DIY, Gadgets, Sports, Tuning

The Indy-Cator is a dream come true. It not only looks cool (well, don't put it in your dad's car, he might not think the same), but it really helps.
What's even more important, the Indy-Cator can be used with any manual transmission up to 6 gears, for any brand of car. There are some small issues (like you cannot use it for gear levers with reverse gear locking mechanism), but it makes no difference to me.
More, "a light sensor in the INDY-CATOR adapts the brightness of the digital display to the surrounding light by means of an automatic dimming function, ensuring optimum readability at all times". So much mambo-jambo. In short: the light will be as powerful as you need it, without creating any difficulties for you while driving.
Is it easy to install? Apparently so, since you have a full pdf manual explaining how to do it. So, go and buy it. You can find it here.
