How To Start An Auto Parts Online Business

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

An auto parts online website is one of the most profitable shopping business on the internet. You find the products, in this case auto parts, at a cheaper price then in stores and you get them sent to your home for free. This is why it’s a good deal, but why to start a business like this? It’s obvious people would get more interest in an online shop which has more benefits than a real-life shop.

It’s not an easy thing, but it can be done. There are a few steps you need to follow, starting from a website up to becoming a member of the top customers of a auto-parts manufacturing company. This business would be very easy for those who already have their own auto-parts shops.

How do you start? You need to register your business with a name, the same as registering a new firm.

How much do you know about auto parts? You can do all with either your knowledge on the auto-parts market, or a friend who is up-to-date on it, or your research for the following days until you put up the project.

The first steps require programming knowledge or a small amount of money invested on a website, plus you have to purchase the website domain and host, then just put all the info on the website. This is the easy part so don’t consider yourself lucky cause it’s not that easy.

The research part is next. Check the markets, ask friends, what are the most common parts needed, the most common parts which fail to work, everything auto related that people are interested in. Every business starts low, so you’ll just have to go for the most common parts, the top rated products and the most needed parts.

Further you need to establish a contract with the manufacturers that supply the parts you want to start with, at a fair price and a decent quality. This is so that you can order as many as you need whenever you want. If your knowledge is low on auto-parts, please do research the internet or the markets on the high quality manufacturers and those who offer their products at good prices.

Once you’ve done the contract, get their top rated products and add them to your website with a slight affix to the price. Don’t let the list of products be short with only these products, also add those that are not in the top sales, people look for them, you don’t have to buy them until they’re ordered. Be sure you split them into categories such as: replacement parts, performance parts, custom parts and models. It’s very important the customer finds what he needs. Why free-shipping? Online business means free-shipping. So if other websites have it, you need it. It attracts a lot of customers these days cause they are excused of playing gas, time, even money.

For it you need to research on the benefits of making a contract with a shipping company. Find the cheaper and faster company, and try to find if it’s cheaper to make a contract or send each package at a time.

Now everything is ready. Go advertise your business via internet, media, posters and your done with your own auto-parts business.

I am your father while the car is moving

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

darth vader car gadgetI can’t say I’m a Star Wars fan, but I laughed out loud when the Darth Vader car gadget showed up in front of my eyes. Especially because, while your car is moving, the little figurine makes some noise.

I wonder how the dark lord will feel if the car goes into a ditch? Probably I’ll say the F-word and he will answer “I am your father!“. Or if my car battery can’t provide enough energy to start the lights the lord will tell me something along the lines of “Do not underestimate the power of the dark side!“.

The catch line for car crash is “I find your lack of faith disturbing!“.

Anyway I found Darth Vader version 1.0 funny. The price to have your car as a deadly X-Wing is £7.04.

Deer and animal whistle prevents car accidents

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

As you know, all of us have problems with animals when we drive. A dog may appear out of the blue in front of your lovely 20000 or more dollars car and you can’t avoid the waste of time, because of the broken front bumper. More than that, the dog is dead, which is not the best option and your time is precious.

Last year I had several problems with dogs barking at my wheels. I don’t know if they like how the wheel spins at 60 MPH or they’re just stressed out. Let’s say “the dog” is the best thing that could happen to you, but if “the dog” transforms into “a cow” or “a deer”, what will you do? Wings damaged, windshield broken and why not, your head stuck in the steering wheel?

For those who had accidents in the past that involved animals, I have found the solution: “Deer and animal repellent warning whistle air activated”! I don’t know if i ever found such a helpful gadget for me. From now on, imagine a safe drive without smacking dumb animals on the road!

deer and animal whistle

Deer Warning Whistles alert animals in the area you are driving and fits all trucks, motorcycles and cars. Vehicle must be moving faster than 35 MPH to operate. They say it’s easily removed for cleaning and it’s tiny. All at just $7.95.

Receipt.Catcher helps airheads organize their car expenses

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

If you had to produce a gas receipt from last month, would you be able to find it in less than 15 minutes? For most people, it’s a big NO. The gloves compartment is usually a big black hole where papers go in, but never come out.

The Receipt.Catcher is supposed to help, but you need some willpower to begin with: you have to put receipts in the right compartment when you get them. The organizer only provides the means: six labeled compartments, plus a mileage log in case it’s difficult to remember exact how much you drive every day.

The best part: it won’t cost you a lot. Retails for $7 on Amazon.com.

$6 breathalyzer might or might not tell you when you’re too drunk to drive

Monday, January 12th, 2009

If you feel you might be too drunk to drive… the best idea is not to do it, period. But if you’d like to know exactly how much alcohol there’s in your blood, you can give the Keychain Breathalyser with Flashlight a try.

The gadget promises to tell you in 5 seconds if you’re fit to drive, and it signals the state of the user with 3-colored LEDs:
- Green light: Safe – under 0.02% BAC (or 0.1mg/l BRAC)
- Yellow light: Caution – 0.02% BAC (or 0.1mg/l BRAC) to 0.05% BAC (or 0.25mg/l BRAC)
- Red and yellow light: Danger – over 0.05% BAC (or 0.25mg/l BRAC)

Now, since it only costs $6… you can assume it’s not the best quality item in the world, so trusting it with your safety (and maybe life) might not be the best idea, but it could at least serve as confirmation after you’ve had those 4 beers.

Light cigars in style with the new Lamborghini range of lighters and cutters

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

Lamborghini fans are in for a treat: now they can light and cut their cigars Lambo style. Three lines of lighters and one set of cutters are there to provide the best experience for people who love one of the best cars in the world… and the price matches the brand.

Lamborghini Il Toro Lighter

Buyers can choose between Il Toro, Forza and Estremo lighters ($135-$150), and maybe add a Torino Lamborghini Cutter for about $75. Too much for such a simple thing? Perhaps, but unique good quality products deserve it. And anyone who receives something like this will probably be blown away.

More photos after the jump.

Light-up coin for collectors and Corvette fans

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

I’m bored of all the RC cars and famous car replicas and all that. Time for something different: a 1953 First General Motors Corvette Light Up Car Coin.

corvette_coin.jpg

This officially-licensed 71 mg .925 silver clad coin is a non-circulating legal tender of the Republic of Palau (which is known for many other collector coins). But the most interesting (kitschy?) part are the lights: if you push the Corvette logo on the back of the coins, the headlights of the car light up.

Cool or not? You decide.

Breakfast for car lovers

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

When they’re not busy fiddling with their car, drooling over the latest Lamborghini or buying a new shiny gadget, automobile lovers have to eat just like all of us.

Engine-er Place Setting

If you’re a car fanatic or have one in your life, you can make breakfast much more interesting with the Engine-er Place Setting. Now you’ll be able to eat your cereal from a tire (with an included hubcap, of course), sip your coffee from a piston and use wrenches for cutlery. Not real ones, of course, that would make it a bit too difficult; their kitchen versions are much more practical. The hubcap lid snap-locks on to keep food fresh, the insulated chrome-plated mug keeps the coffee hot and the wrenches have real cutlery on the other end.

You can get the set for $59.99, or buy the pieces separately.
