As long as you're searching for Columbus Auto Parts on Google or on your favorite search engine, you may have the surprise to not find the site that is really the site of this company, but other sites. This happens because the name of the company is actually Columbus Auto Resale Inc.

The interface of this site is black, the site looks pretty ok to me and I can see and tell where a site is designed with love or not and this site is definitely created by a designer that is very good. You can access the site by yourself at this address: colsauto.com. The first page that will be loaded is index.htm. I run Mozilla Firefox and I can see that the site is loaded pretty quickly and every information presented by the site appears on the screen of my computer. This is why I have said in this article that this site is developed by someone that really knows his or her job. But enough with the presentation of the site in question, let's present a little bit the vehicles that are taken into consideration by them.

Columbus Auto Parts (Source: 3.bp.blogspot.com)

The tabs that are presented at the top of the screen are related to the inventory of the site, to cars that are under 10K, to the possibilities of getting loans in order to buy a car and they are also related to the information about this company. If you want to sell your car, they say that they will buy your car today.

What I love about the site (another thing that I love about this site) is the fact that you can watch the video reviews. Every day or at least every 2 days, when I write articles related to cars and to auto sites, I get to meet all sorts of interfaces and let me tell you that this is the first site related to the automotive industry, that actually presents to you some video reviews about a car or another.

Columbus Auto Parts (Source: insightcarsmodels.com)

I know that there are some sites that have video descriptions, presenting to you information about how to change the battery of a car, how to change the oils, how to verify the fluids in your car by yourself and others, even though they don't recommend these things to be done if you are not a technician. I could add something to this statement: “If you are a woman, you should address to a man or better said to a technician”. The vehicles that are presented on this site are Ford, Chevrolet, Pontiac and Chrysler.

Everyone knows and loves General Motors because it is the largest car manufacturer coming from the United States of America. Since the US is the greatest country in the whole world, the companies that emerge from there are usually viewed with very favorable eyes then if they would come from third world countries. Apart from its origins, General Motors is also a very important player in this industry because they manufacture automobiles under very well known brands spread throughout the world.

How many brands do you know to be under the General Motors management? Even though they may be known world-wide and have a significant popularity of their own, brands like Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC are all under the management of General Motors. These are the main focus of the company since they all come from the United States, but there are also Pontiac, Hummer and Saturn and if you consider Europe, they also have Saab, Opel and Vauxhall, while the Asian brands include Daewoo.

There are many other brands like Fiat, Suzuki, Isuzu or others where General Motors owned a significant percent of the stocks, but the collaboration was later dropped. Even though it may be the second largest company in sales all over the world, General Motors produces automobiles under numerous famous brands, which earns the respect of customers world-wide.

One of the oldest brands owned by General Motors is Pontiac. This company was originally established in 1907, but under a different name, the Oakland Motor Company. It wasn’t until 1926 till the company was renamed Pontiac Motor Co., the brand we all know. While the larger group that owned the company was manufacturing lots of models for every segment of the population, the Pontiac division specialized in performance vehicles for many years.

Even though this company was around for more than a century building vehicles for enthusiasts and those looking for thrills when they were behind the wheel, it wasn’t a smooth sale throughout its entire activity. When the business was first starting off, sales were impressive, registering a significantly larger income than any of its rivals. But around World War II and a bit afterwards, the innovation was something that their models lacked, something that influenced the opinion of the buyers.

Ten years after the world was over Pontiac came up with a few new features for their cars. They included all new chassis, reconfigured body structures that encompassed V-8 engines which developed more than 170 horsepower. This was a time when innovation played its part in increasing the sales of the company. During a period afterwards something changed with the market, most of them looking for something else.

The more recent history of Pontiac, since the 1980s onwards, the company resorted to its old habits once again. All of the models were focused on high performance and innovation, but this was not enough to save the company from eradication. This company was considered by General Motors to be phased out. But what would that mean for owners that would later need Pontiac auto parts?

Throughout the automobile history there have been lots of vehicles eliminated from the market, but the parts needed for their repairs can still be found today. No matter if they are manufactured by the original automobile maker or other companies focused on aftermarket car parts, the near future will not eliminate the Pontiac auto parts from the market completely, since there are many owners and enthusiasts that will need them.
