This impressive motorcycle is the work of Tom Sepe, who converted a 1967 Tote-Gote, one of the first off road motorcycles, into an electric steampunk work of art.

The motorcyle was fitted with a 15 hp motor, the kind used in electric motorcycle racing, and a steam boiler made from a fire extinguisher tank. The boiler isn’t connected to the wheels however, and it’s only used for visual steam effects. Says Sepe: “But on the other hand, if I crank it up really high, then you get flames shooting out the back of the bike. Which is cool.”

After the jump, a movie of the motorcycle in action. For more details and photos, check out this interview with Tom Sepe.

Porsche Nvidia SLI Computer Mod

Having a great computer seems to not be enough nowadays. As with cars, you have to have it tuned. It is called modding, but it is almost similar: lights, bodykits (cases) and so on. Well, someone thought of combining the two and made the Porsche Nvidia SLI Mod. See more after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

Aston Martin and Bang & Olufsen recently announced they will be working together in a “creatinve partnership”. Of course, most of us know what Aston Martin and Bang & Olufsen stand for: luxury, performance and a lot of money.

Aston Martin and Bang & Olufsen to work together

Bang & Olufsen Chief Executive Officer, Torben Ballegard Sørensen also believes the two companies have much in common, and not just in terms of esteem and ambition. “There are deep similarities between our cultures and heritage. Bang & Olufsen’s values are rooted on passion and performance as well as design and craftsmanship. These are exactly the same values that you experience in an Aston Martin,” he says.

So, what can we expect from this combination? A great car with a kick-a$$ sound system or a great sound system with a kick-a$$ car attached to it? Well, time will tell, but something is sure: a few of us only will enjoy them both.

Yesterday I used the third gear to start from the traffic light. A day before, I wanted to change the gear to 6th gear (but my car only has 5 gears). And I was thinking: I need something to show me the gear I use at every moment. Yeah, I am that stupid forgetful. The only thing I can drive correctly is the Remote Controlled Beer Bringer on my desktop. But I digress.

Visual gear shifter: Indy-Cator

The Indy-Cator is a dream come true. It not only looks cool (well, don’t put it in your dad’s car, he might not think the same), but it really helps.

What’s even more important, the Indy-Cator can be used with any manual transmission up to 6 gears, for any brand of car. There are some small issues (like you cannot use it for gear levers with reverse gear locking mechanism), but it makes no difference to me.

More, “a light sensor in the INDY-CATOR adapts the brightness of the digital display to the surrounding light by means of an automatic dimming function, ensuring optimum readability at all times“. So much mambo-jambo. In short: the light will be as powerful as you need it, without creating any difficulties for you while driving.

Is it easy to install? Apparently so, since you have a full pdf manual explaining how to do it. So, go and buy it. You can find it here.

Among all those pimped cars shown these days at the SEMA Show, here’s something really cool. This Chrysler 300C has some impressive LED-equipped wheels, with each one containing its own color display. No idea when this will be available on the market or how much would it cost.
