New GPS unit offers 8-bit entertainment

Some time ago GPS devices were for one thing only: helping drivers find their way. But lately manufacturers have started adding new features, such as support for disabled people.

The KW-GM4306TG from Kinwei Technologies could be labeled as a GPS unit with support for bored people. The innovation? 8-bit games. It’s not like a PSP, but it can still keep someone entertained during rush hour or on long trips (one of the passengers in the latter case, of course).

The GPS comes with a 4.3-inch TFT LCD touch screen with a resolutions of 480 x 272 pixels and a controller for the games. If you have a rear view camera you’ll be happy to know that the KW-GM4306TG has an AV-in port it can be plugged in.

Other features:

  • Navigation software: ARMV4I compilation, software stored in SD card
  • Built-in Bluetooth module and antenna
  • Hands free communication and shows incoming phone numbers
  • Memory slot: SD card and MMC card
  • Built-in 3.7V Li-ion battery
  • Supports multiple languages
