Self-cleaning windshield nanotechnology, not magic
What would you say if you heard that you didn’t need windshield wipers anymore? “Cut the crap” probably, but you would be wrong – to an extent.
The Hidra concept car from Pininfarina automotive designer Leonardo Fioravanti has a nanotechnology-based windshield which doesn’t need wipers. The windshield is made out of four layers: the first repels the water, the second pushes dirt off, the third works like a sensor and the fourth conducts the electricity needed to power the whole thing.
Of course, you won’t be able to get this for your car any time soon, but you can hope for the future.
If you know Italian, you can read the whole story here.
