What optionals should we buy ? Another interesting topic, especially in a world where the car is no longer seen just as much a means of transport, how we choose the car with optional amenities just follow this order. Are they useful, do we need them urgently or is it just money thrown in the wind?

Although apparently optional amenities contribute to the resale value of a car, and during use may confer some degree of comfort in addition to a standard equipment, however, most times it does not justify the money invested. I tried a careful analysis of optional amenities usual, without a considered exhaustive, to see which ones are effective, useful in actual traffic, but also how they contribute, positively or negatively to the total acquisition cost of a car.

ABS
The equipment is already standard in most countries of the world, but its still optional in some cases, are offered at low prices. It recommends adding the optional list before buying a car. It offers enhanced active safety and value in addition to resale.

ESP (Electronic Stability Program)
Great efforts are made by the FIA (Federation International Automobile) for placing the equipment required in equipping the number of new cars of ESP, the benefits of this system are great. For the record, in 2002, 1,200 lives were saved from death, if the car is moved, the driver and passengers, were equipped with ESP! Sometimes the package offered ABS + ESP + EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), are options that deserve to be paid, because they can save your life even without realizing …

Air conditioning
For our country’s climate air-conditioning is necessary, not essential. Remains an endowment worth paid, keeping the resale value of your car. Air conditioning with automatic adjustment is more expensive with 3-500 euros in general, but abundantly deserves its money.

Traction control
Sometimes wrongly considered an option only for powerful cars, traction control (TC, TCS) is a very useful additional equipment especially in winter. In conjunction with a set of tires appropriate season, can make the difference between a nice vacation and a miss, sometimes being as effective as a 4×4. To consider when buying a car.

Cruise control – Automatic speed control
There have not dawn the car in such a system features a speed control, especially in our country, the reality is that, irrespective of the two “highways” of Romania, the local road infrastructure to compete successfully in the futility of such a system. So, if you do not visit Europe 6 times a year, cruise control does not make money in Romania.

Navigation System
Other equipment “relative” for local drivers, “the navigation system” remains in question, especially as Romania has just updated maps. Sometimes, the navigation system is useful, depends more on what purpose you need it for. Depends on each person if they want to buy it.
